It goes past the basics into delegation and accountability, leading distributed teams and the judgement calls that sit outside the balanced scorecard. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because the gap between a stated strategy and what the organisation actually does is where most value is lost. Delegates leave able to work confidently with board reporting, succession at executive level and crisis leadership in their own organisation.
