Motor Control Centres: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through arc flash assessment and electrical safety procedure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, load flow analysis and power factor correction in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review condition monitoring and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Explain load flow analysis to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about power factor correction without waiting for a specialist
- Improve earthing and bonding within their own organisation
