Practical Budgeting and Forecasting
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through budgeting and variance analysis and fraud detection on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: reporting standards keep moving and finance teams carry the consequence of getting them wrong, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with financial instruments, audit readiness and financial modelling in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve financial instruments within their own organisation, measured against the Companies Act
- Bring audit readiness into line with current good practice
- Spot where financial modelling is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain management accounting to someone who does not do the work
