Practical Consumer Protection Law

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through intellectual property and arbitration and mediation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: regulators have moved from guidance to enforcement across several sectors, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with contract drafting, data protection under POPIA and competition law in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring contract drafting into line with current good practice, measured against King IV
  • Explain data protection under POPIA to someone who does not do the work
  • Improve competition law within their own organisation
  • Review regulatory compliance and say plainly whether it is working
