Practical Distribution Management
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through supply risk assessment and ethical sourcing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with inventory optimisation, bid adjudication and supplier performance measurement in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve inventory optimisation within their own organisation, measured against the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act
- Take ownership of bid adjudication rather than escalating it
- Bring supplier performance measurement into line with current good practice
- Explain strategic sourcing to someone who does not do the work
