Practical Internal Controls
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through financial statement preparation and financial instruments on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with fraud detection, cash flow forecasting and consolidation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain fraud detection to someone who does not do the work, measured against IFRS
- Review cash flow forecasting and say plainly whether it is working
- Make a decision about consolidation without waiting for a specialist
- Put lease accounting on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
