Practical Occupational Health and Safety

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through safety culture and occupational hygiene on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk assessment, hazard identification and toolbox talks in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review risk assessment and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Construction Regulations
  • Spot where hazard identification is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of toolbox talks rather than escalating it
  • Put incident investigation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
