Practical Working at Height

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through permit to work systems and legal appointments and duties on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with contractor safety management, safety auditing and waste management in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Take ownership of contractor safety management rather than escalating it, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Put safety auditing on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Bring waste management into line with current good practice
  • Spot where emergency preparedness is failing before it becomes a finding
