Public Sector Procurement: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through e-procurement systems and demand planning on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: procurement decisions are now audited for process as closely as for price, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with contract negotiation, tender evaluation and inventory optimisation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about contract negotiation without waiting for a specialist, measured against the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act
- Bring tender evaluation into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of inventory optimisation rather than escalating it
- Spot where strategic sourcing is failing before it becomes a finding
