Strategic Internal Audit looks at this work from the level at which it is resourced and defended. The focus is on combined assurance, regulatory reporting and how both connect to what the organisation is actually trying to achieve. This matters at the strategic level because risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk reporting to the board, risk assessment methodology and key risk indicators in their own organisation.
