Technical Record Keeping: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through laboratory design and proficiency testing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: an accreditation finding can stop a laboratory trading in a way no other quality failure does, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with method validation, measurement uncertainty and accreditation preparation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review method validation and say plainly whether it is working, measured against SANAS accreditation requirements
  • Improve measurement uncertainty within their own organisation
  • Put accreditation preparation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Make a decision about sample handling and chain of custody without waiting for a specialist
