Variable Speed Drives Masterclass

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into arc flash assessment, standby generation and the judgement calls that sit outside the SANS wiring code. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with variable speed drives, lockout and tagout and load flow analysis in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Explain variable speed drives to someone who does not do the work, measured against the SANS wiring code
  • Review lockout and tagout and say plainly whether it is working
  • Improve load flow analysis within their own organisation
  • Put circuit breaker operation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
