Substation Operation Masterclass
5 days|Delivered on request
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into earthing and bonding, circuit breaker operation and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with transformer maintenance, lockout and tagout and load flow analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring transformer maintenance into line with current good practice, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Take ownership of lockout and tagout rather than escalating it
- Review load flow analysis and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain cable fault location to someone who does not do the work
