Advanced Protection Systems
5 days|Delivered on request
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into circuit breaker operation, protection relays and the judgement calls that sit outside IEC standards. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with load flow analysis, substation operation and lockout and tagout in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put load flow analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against IEC standards
- Take ownership of substation operation rather than escalating it
- Improve lockout and tagout within their own organisation
- Bring insulation testing into line with current good practice
