Contract Negotiation: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through tender evaluation and bid adjudication on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with ethical sourcing, e-procurement systems and supplier performance measurement in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Improve ethical sourcing within their own organisation, measured against the CIPS professional standard
  • Spot where e-procurement systems is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of supplier performance measurement rather than escalating it
  • Review inventory optimisation and say plainly whether it is working
