Distribution Management: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through total cost of ownership and logistics management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with supplier relationship management, supply risk assessment and supplier performance measurement in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put supplier relationship management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the PFMA and MFMA supply chain regulations
  • Explain supply risk assessment to someone who does not do the work
  • Bring supplier performance measurement into line with current good practice
  • Review ethical sourcing and say plainly whether it is working
