Management Accounting: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through financial instruments and financial statement preparation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: audit findings are now a reputational matter as much as a technical one, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with budgeting and variance analysis, cost allocation and management accounting in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring budgeting and variance analysis into line with current good practice, measured against IFRS
  • Review cost allocation and say plainly whether it is working
  • Take ownership of management accounting rather than escalating it
  • Explain working capital management to someone who does not do the work
