Practical Construction Safety

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through permit to work systems and safety culture on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with occupational hygiene, personal protective equipment and legal appointments and duties in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about occupational hygiene without waiting for a specialist, measured against ISO 45001
  • Bring personal protective equipment into line with current good practice
  • Review legal appointments and duties and say plainly whether it is working
  • Put root cause analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
