Practical Cost Accounting
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through financial instruments and financial statement preparation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with impairment testing, management accounting and working capital management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put impairment testing on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Companies Act
- Take ownership of management accounting rather than escalating it
- Improve working capital management within their own organisation
- Explain capital budgeting to someone who does not do the work
