Practical Municipal Infrastructure Grants
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through council procedure and service delivery planning on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: audit outcomes have become the dominant measure of municipal performance, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with public participation, irregular expenditure and ethics in the public service in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of public participation rather than escalating it, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
- Improve irregular expenditure within their own organisation
- Spot where ethics in the public service is failing before it becomes a finding
- Put audit action planning on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
