Practical Performance Management in Government

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through consequence management and council procedure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with ethics in the public service, supply chain compliance in government and audit action planning in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put ethics in the public service on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the MFMA
  • Improve supply chain compliance in government within their own organisation
  • Take ownership of audit action planning rather than escalating it
  • Spot where intergovernmental relations is failing before it becomes a finding
