Practical Strategic Sourcing
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through supplier relationship management and supplier performance measurement on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: procurement decisions are now audited for process as closely as for price, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with tender evaluation, supply risk assessment and contract negotiation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about tender evaluation without waiting for a specialist, measured against ISO 20400 on sustainable procurement
- Put supply risk assessment on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review contract negotiation and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain inventory optimisation to someone who does not do the work
