Community Relations: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through spokesperson training and stakeholder mapping on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: an organisation's reputation is now formed faster than its communications function can respond, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with investor communication, community engagement and campaign planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about investor communication without waiting for a specialist, measured against stakeholder mapping methodology
- Take ownership of community engagement rather than escalating it
- Spot where campaign planning is failing before it becomes a finding
- Review issues management and say plainly whether it is working
