Contract Management for Projects: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through scheduling and lessons learned on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with portfolio prioritisation, earned value management and scope definition in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain portfolio prioritisation to someone who does not do the work, measured against earned value management
- Review earned value management and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of scope definition rather than escalating it
- Spot where work breakdown structure is failing before it becomes a finding
