PMO Setup and Operation: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through critical path analysis and scope definition on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: organisations run more projects than they have capacity to govern, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with agile and scrum practice, resource planning and portfolio prioritisation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve agile and scrum practice within their own organisation, measured against the PMBOK guide
- Explain resource planning to someone who does not do the work
- Review portfolio prioritisation and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of stakeholder communication rather than escalating it
