Practical Construction Project Management
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through resource planning and risk registers on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: the coordination layer is usually the least trained and the most load bearing, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with scope definition, critical path analysis and earned value management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about scope definition without waiting for a specialist, measured against agile delivery practice
- Take ownership of critical path analysis rather than escalating it
- Review earned value management and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring portfolio prioritisation into line with current good practice
