Practical Capital Budgeting
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through capital budgeting and management accounting on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with lease accounting, financial modelling and deferred tax in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review lease accounting and say plainly whether it is working, measured against IFRS
- Spot where financial modelling is failing before it becomes a finding
- Make a decision about deferred tax without waiting for a specialist
- Explain consolidation to someone who does not do the work
