Practical Control Design and Testing

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through control testing and control design on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with combined assurance, crisis management and third party risk in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review combined assurance and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the three lines model
  • Improve crisis management within their own organisation
  • Spot where third party risk is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of risk reporting to the board rather than escalating it
