Practical Governance Risk and Compliance
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through regulatory reporting and control testing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with control design, risk identification and crisis management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain control design to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Basel framework
- Put risk identification on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Make a decision about crisis management without waiting for a specialist
- Take ownership of key risk indicators rather than escalating it
