Practical Logistics Management
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through tender evaluation and strategic sourcing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with e-procurement systems, warehouse operations and spend analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review e-procurement systems and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act
- Put warehouse operations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Explain spend analysis to someone who does not do the work
- Improve contract negotiation within their own organisation
