Practical Monitoring and Evaluation
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through lessons learned and work breakdown structure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: organisations run more projects than they have capacity to govern, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with critical path analysis, stakeholder communication and project initiation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where critical path analysis is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against earned value management
- Put stakeholder communication on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Explain project initiation to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about earned value management without waiting for a specialist
