Practical Public Sector Procurement
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through e-procurement systems and category management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: procurement decisions are now audited for process as closely as for price, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with spend analysis, warehouse operations and contract administration in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of spend analysis rather than escalating it, measured against the PFMA and MFMA supply chain regulations
- Put warehouse operations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Bring contract administration into line with current good practice
- Improve supply risk assessment within their own organisation
