Project Scheduling: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through quality assurance and risk registers on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with earned value management, scheduling and project initiation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put earned value management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the PMBOK guide
  • Review scheduling and say plainly whether it is working
  • Take ownership of project initiation rather than escalating it
  • Improve agile and scrum practice within their own organisation
