Strategic Sourcing: Tools and Techniques
5 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through logistics management and tender evaluation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with bid adjudication, warehouse operations and supply risk assessment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring bid adjudication into line with current good practice, measured against the CIPS professional standard
- Spot where warehouse operations is failing before it becomes a finding
- Review supply risk assessment and say plainly whether it is working
- Make a decision about contract administration without waiting for a specialist
