Sustainable Procurement: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through supplier development and warehouse operations on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: category spend is one of the few remaining places to find margin without cutting headcount, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with logistics management, e-procurement systems and category management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain logistics management to someone who does not do the work, measured against ISO 20400 on sustainable procurement
- Put e-procurement systems on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Take ownership of category management rather than escalating it
- Bring tender evaluation into line with current good practice
