Earned Value Management: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through scheduling and cost estimation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with stakeholder communication, quality assurance and resource planning in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where stakeholder communication is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the PMBOK guide
  • Make a decision about quality assurance without waiting for a specialist
  • Bring resource planning into line with current good practice
  • Improve portfolio prioritisation within their own organisation
