Media Relations: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through community engagement and speech writing on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: internal communication failures surface later as engagement and retention problems, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with message development, campaign planning and media relations in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve message development within their own organisation, measured against established corporate communication practice
- Review campaign planning and say plainly whether it is working
- Put media relations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Spot where content planning is failing before it becomes a finding
