Practical Portfolio Management
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through resource planning and critical path analysis on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with scheduling, project reporting and agile and scrum practice in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve scheduling within their own organisation, measured against earned value management
- Bring project reporting into line with current good practice
- Explain agile and scrum practice to someone who does not do the work
- Put benefits realisation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
