Practical Project Reporting

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through cost estimation and benefits realisation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with project reporting, project closure and work breakdown structure in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about project reporting without waiting for a specialist, measured against agile delivery practice
  • Put project closure on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Explain work breakdown structure to someone who does not do the work
  • Spot where portfolio prioritisation is failing before it becomes a finding
