Practical Strategic Leadership
5 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through succession at executive level and performance dialogue on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: executives are increasingly appointed for functional depth and then judged on enterprise judgement, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with leading distributed teams, delegation and accountability and board reporting in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about leading distributed teams without waiting for a specialist, measured against the balanced scorecard
- Improve delegation and accountability within their own organisation
- Bring board reporting into line with current good practice
- Review corporate governance and say plainly whether it is working
