Skills Development for Non-Specialists

2 days|Delivered on request

Skills Development for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through grievance handling and change management without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because workforce planning has moved from an administrative task to a board level concern, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with succession planning, talent acquisition and workforce planning in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review succession planning and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SABPP competency model
  • Spot where talent acquisition is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Put workforce planning on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Take ownership of employment equity reporting rather than escalating it
