Industrial Relations for Non-Specialists

2 days|Delivered on request

Industrial Relations for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through employment equity reporting and remuneration and benefits without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because organisations are being asked to prove the return on their people spend, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with onboarding design, employee relations and disciplinary procedure in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Explain onboarding design to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Skills Development Act
  • Put employee relations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Improve disciplinary procedure within their own organisation
  • Review skills development planning and say plainly whether it is working
