Managing Service Delivery Planning

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers records management and asset management from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with annual reporting, intergovernmental relations and revenue management in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Take ownership of annual reporting rather than escalating it, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
  • Put intergovernmental relations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Review revenue management and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring service delivery planning into line with current good practice
