Portfolio Management: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through project closure and agile and scrum practice on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: the coordination layer is usually the least trained and the most load bearing, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with quality assurance, portfolio prioritisation and resource planning in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put quality assurance on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against agile delivery practice
  • Make a decision about portfolio prioritisation without waiting for a specialist
  • Bring resource planning into line with current good practice
  • Improve critical path analysis within their own organisation
