Practical Advanced Project Management

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through earned value management and work breakdown structure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with scope definition, project closure and risk registers in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where scope definition is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against agile delivery practice
  • Explain project closure to someone who does not do the work
  • Take ownership of risk registers rather than escalating it
  • Improve benefits realisation within their own organisation
