Practical Project Cost Control
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through portfolio prioritisation and earned value management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: the coordination layer is usually the least trained and the most load bearing, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk registers, critical path analysis and project closure in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve risk registers within their own organisation, measured against earned value management
- Spot where critical path analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
- Bring project closure into line with current good practice
- Review work breakdown structure and say plainly whether it is working
