Practical Change Control
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through lessons learned and earned value management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with change control, portfolio prioritisation and cost estimation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain change control to someone who does not do the work, measured against the PMBOK guide
- Make a decision about portfolio prioritisation without waiting for a specialist
- Bring cost estimation into line with current good practice
- Improve scope definition within their own organisation
