Practical Earned Value Management

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through stakeholder communication and project closure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: the coordination layer is usually the least trained and the most load bearing, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with agile and scrum practice, project initiation and change control in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring agile and scrum practice into line with current good practice, measured against the PMBOK guide
  • Spot where project initiation is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Improve change control within their own organisation
  • Review critical path analysis and say plainly whether it is working
