Practical Industrial Relations
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through skills development planning and grievance handling on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: organisations are being asked to prove the return on their people spend, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with workforce planning, disciplinary procedure and organisational design in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put workforce planning on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the SABPP competency model
- Review disciplinary procedure and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain organisational design to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about change management without waiting for a specialist
