Project Cost Control: Tools and Techniques

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through change control and benefits realisation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: most project failure is visible in the schedule long before it is admitted in the status report, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with work breakdown structure, quality assurance and portfolio prioritisation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Improve work breakdown structure within their own organisation, measured against PRINCE2
  • Review quality assurance and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring portfolio prioritisation into line with current good practice
  • Spot where critical path analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
